Proud to support the Real Living Wage Week - November 2020
As one of 6,500 Living Wage Employers, Binding Site is proud to be supporting Living Wage Week 2020.
Started by Citizens UK in 2001, the campaign brought together churches, mosques, schools and other local institutions to talk about the issues affecting their communities. The outcome was that something needed to be done to ensure people were paid fairly to meet the cost of living.
In April 2016, the government introduced a higher minimum wage rate for all staff over the age of 25, however it is not calculated according to what employees and their families need to live.
Today, the real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is voluntarily paid to ensure all workers earn a wage that meets the cost of living, not just the government minimum.
Commenting on their participation, Charles de Rohan, CEO, Binding Site said “As a responsible and ethical employer, we value every single one of our employees, and it is our duty to ensure our staff are paid fairly for the work they do”.
