Sovereign Road: Our New Global Distribution Centre
We are delighted to announce that our new Global Distribution Centre, based in Birmingham, UK, has now opened. The new centre will allow us to continue to grow as a business and better serve our customers across the world now and in the future.
Our continued growth and production output has created a need for us to increase our storage capacity and capabilities. Having outgrown our existing facilities for product storage and distribution, a new site location was the logical step.
The new site is 2,000m2 in size comprising 1,540 m2 warehouse space and 550 m2 mixed use office space. Within this we have formed a cold room space with a storage capacity of 2,750m3 for our products increasing our previous storage capacity tenfold.

In 1983 Binding Site rented only a couple of rooms in Birmingham Medical School. The company moved to Vincent Road and the Science Park in 1990 (now a car park) and in 1994 changed location to Dale Road before moving to Warstock Road a decade later. Our most recent move was in 2011 when everyone moved over to Calthorpe Road and now for the first time we have split our UK location between Calthorpe Road and Sovereign Road.
