The Binding Site ready to run for Cure Leukaemia

The Binding Site, which employs over 400 staff at their office in Edgbaston, specialise in producing highly sensitive and highly specific antibodies used for the detection of certain cancers and immune system disorders.
An official partner of Cure Leukaemia, the company supports the charity throughout the year and has entered a strong team of runners for the last three years. This year, they have also entered the Business Challenge and are looking forward to competing with other Birmingham businesses on October 18th.
Charles de Rohan, the CEO of The Binding Site ran the Great Birmingham Run for Cure Leukaemia last year and vowed that would be his first and last half marathon. However, after Cure Leukaemia recently announced their ‘Just One More’ campaign to raise £40,000 to fund a specialist research nurse in blood cancer awareness month, team Binding Site called for ‘Just One More’ runner for the team and Charles stepped up!
He said, ‘The Binding Site are very proud to be an official charity partner of Cure Leukaemia. We know the tremendous work they support at the Centre for Clinical Haematology and across the region and I’m delighted we will have another strong team for the Morrisons Great Birmingham Run.
‘It is true that I said last year would be my final half marathon but Cure Leukaemia’s fantastic ‘Just One More’ campaign has changed my mind! I’m looking forward to taking part again and hopefully our team can raise vital funds and do well in the Business challenge as well.’
Jackie Kelly, Cure Leukaemia’s Head of Corporate Partnerships said, “The Binding Site are always keen to engage in our key events throughout the year. Their staff has been committed to raising funds for the charity and it is great they have assembled another strong team for the Morrisons Great Birmingham Run. I’m also delighted Charles has had a change of mind and we will be cheering him on this October!’
